Rating by category:
Very nice hotel, hygiene, clean, and friendly staff. Nice location and close to Bayswater and Queensway undergrounds.
The location of the hotel was very good, the room was comfortable, and although many people rate the rooms as small which they are for the cost and service provided they are excellant.
Close proximity to metro stations and buses
Extremely small rooms-the pictures on the internet are deceiving people staying at the next door motel were very loud and disruptive all night long
Misleading website advertisement on the room. The so called "doubled room" is more like a "super single room". Room given was way too small for two person. Bed so uncomfortable for two Asians. Can't imaging an European or American couple. Rated 4 star?? Don't even have room slipper. Phone & safe deposit box not working.
Appear rather new with modern interior design and in a convenient location served by Queensway and Bayswater London underground.
The room (so called deluxe double room) is so small and cramped (almost the same as those tiny hotel rooms expected in Tokyo) that I will definitely not returning. One additional problem is the noise from the underground trains every few minutes! Definitely not recommended.
This hotel had a very nice reception area with free wireless internet. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. The outdoor seating area was very nice :-) The location is great for Hyde Park.
The room was the smallest room i'd ever stayed in, in a London Hotel. Couldn't swing a cat in it. I only took a backpack of clothes with me on my trip to London and this bag was in the way in the room. Unfortunately there were lots of cobwebs in the room in all corners and hanging down above the bed. The bedside lamp had clearly been broken and been glued back together.
Great location, one or two block walk to to major Tube lines connecting to all of the major London sights and shopping. Easy walk to Kensington Park for a bit of nature. Unusual nearby attractions include a Tango club and and Ice Skating/Bowling facility. Nice (but tiny) room. After reading the negative reviews I was a bit nervous to book at this hotel. However my experience was very good and I would return to this hotel again the next time I am in London.
Be prepared for a small room, including the Club Deluxe Room "upgrade." The location more than made up for this, however. Area is good but not entirely upscale. There are a number of youth hostels on the same block, but all occupying the same old stately homes converted into hotels. If you adjust your expectations accordingly you should not be disappointed.
Excellent location. Very central. 2 mins walk from Bayswater underground station and 5 mins walk from Queensway underground station. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Free wireless internet and tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Our room was very small such that we found it hard to find a place where to put our two luggages (a hand luggage and a slightly bigger one) without obstructing the room. The attitude of one member of staff was not exactly pleasant. We were told that we were going to be charged because we overstayed a quarter of an hour over and above the check-out time. Though I understand that policies are to be adhered to, the manner in which such things are communicated can make a whole difference.
The location is fantastic as is the atmosphere in the rooms! Fabulous hotel for the price.
The staff is bit absent minded.
The lift didn't work and there are a lot of stairs. There is no resident's lounge and the bar closes at 11:30 with an extremely limited choice of drinks.
Excellent location, friendly staff, clean, value for money and it caters to both business travellers and families.
Room was a bit small but managable.
Efficient, nice room and great location
It's locality and proximity to public transport
Our room was very small for a delux double albeit it was very clean with modern fittings
The location is really nice - close to the tube, close to Notting Hill with lots of eating places. And the hotel is very nice itself.
Lack od hair dryer, small rooms (but I guess it is the general problem with London's hotels).
Very small rooms, and you could hear everything very clearly while being there - people taking showers/using bathroom in other rooms (the pipes were right behind our bed's wall), the elevator, people talking, the subway, etc. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but really was more like a 2.
